Individual Counseling
One-on-one sessions focused on your unique needs. Our counselors provide a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings while guiding you toward positive change.
Couples Counseling
Improve relationships by deepening understanding of conflicts by addressing communication issues and other challenges.
Insurances do not cover couples counseling, contact us for rates.
Child Counseling
Support for children and their families to improve communication and resolve conflicts. We also offer play therapy for those unable vocalize their thoughts.
Psychological Evaluations
We offer comprehensive psychological evaluations to quantify and measure mental attributes, personality, behavior, and achievement.
Neuropsychological Evaluations
Neuropsychological evaluations assess the presence, nature, and extent of brain damage or dysfunction derived from the results of various neuropsychological tests. Examples include assessing cognitive impairment, including those measuring memory, language, learning, attention, and visuospatial and visuoconstructive functioning.
Educational Evaluations
These include psychoeducational or academic testing, used to diagnosis and assess of children with potential learning disabilities or learning differences in math, reading writing, or oral expression.
Group Therapy: Seniors
Weekly.
Tailored advice for individuals or organizations seeking to navigate mental health challenges. We offer expert insight that informs decisions and enhances wellbeing.
Group Therapy: Parents with children (ages 6-12) diagnosed with ADHD
Weekly for 10 weeks.
Join others who share similar experiences in a supportive group setting. Our facilitators encourage interaction and provide tools for coping and personal growth.

Val Umphress, PhD
Clinic Director, Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Umphress has over 30 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
ADHD/LD assessment, testing accommodation evaluations, pre-bariatric surgery evaluations, interpersonally-focused psychotherapy for depression and anxiety, seniors group psychotherapy, and professional supervision.

Lisa Lee,
LMFT, MCSP, CSAC
Lisa Lee is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
Addiction, ADHD, anxiety, depression, parent training.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Solution Focused Therapy, depending on the issues presented.
Telehealth only.

James Springer,
LCSW
James Springer is a licensed clinical social worker, providing individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
Anxiety, depression, family conflict, and parent training. He employs a variety of techniques depending upon the issues being addressed.
Offers some in-person appointments.
Ages 13+.

Jana Moya,
LMFT
Jana Moya is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She provides individual therapy for adults. Jana is also a part of the Hawaii FASD Action Group and has provided consultation, training, and therapy related to FASD.
Depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and more.
Her approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Therapies.
Ages 18+, telehealth, limited in-person appointments.

Neil Annandale, PhD
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Annandale provides adult outpatient psychological services, particularly with college student mental health.
Anxiety, depression, relationship and adjustment difficulties, grief/loss, family-of-origin, and multicultural issues. Areas of special interest include academic/career issues, working with veterans, religious/spiritual issues, mindfulness, help-seeking behaviors of Asians and Pacific Islanders, group and couples therapy.
Telehealth only.

Bernadette Heid, PsyD
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Heid is a licensed clinical psychologist in Hawaii and California.
Psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological testing to screen or diagnose for ADHD, giftedness, learning disabilities, developmental disorders/delays, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
Telehealth only, in-person testing with psychometrist.

Larry Dolan,
LCSW
Mr. Dolan joins our team with nearly 30 years of experience working with children, their families and teachers, with over 20 years with the Hawaii Department of Education, most recently with their ASD Autism Project unit.
He specializes in working with children, using in-person Play Therapy as modality for trauma/abuse.
He also works with children up to age 17 via telehealth appointments.

Petrina Post, PsyD
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Post has been licensed and practicing in Hawaii for the past 12 years, currently focusing on completing evaluations for school-age children.
She has worked with the Hawaii Department of Education for the past 14 years and previously worked four years with infants and toddlers through the Department of Health Early Intervention Section.
ASD and ASD/ADHD evaluations.
To avoid a conflict of interest due to her work with the DOE, she is unable to see those who live or attend school in the DOE’s Leeward District.
Telehealth, limited in-person. All testing appointments are in person with Dr Post or psychometrist.

Kelsey Domingo,
LMHC
Ms Domingo has experience working in the Department of Education under School-Based Behavioral Health as a Behavioral Health Specialist.
Elementary-aged children with ADHD, ASD, Depression, and Anxiety, using Trauma-Focused Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Play Therapy.
Group therapy for parents with children diagnosed with ADHD.
To avoid a conflict of interest with the DOE, please provide name of school attending if under 18.
Telehealth and limited in person appointments.

Lawrence Kim,
LMFT
Mr. Kim has been at OPS starting as an office assistant, then as a pre-licensed therapist and now as a fully licensed family and marriage therapist. He has worked with seniors in group therapy and individual counseling.
In person and telehealth appointments.
Depression, anxiety, coping with ADHD, young couples.

Kerrie Balmores, PsyD
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Balmores is a licensed clinical psychologist in Hawaii and Virginia. She has over 20 years’ experience in the field providing therapy and conducting psychological evaluations.
Anxiety, depression, stress/adjustment difficulties, trauma, grief, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, OCD and social difficulties.
Pre-bariatric evaluations.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based interventions and Exposure and Responses Prevention.
Ages 16+, telehealth only.

Arika Bogunia, PsyD
Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Bogunia has been a licensed clinical psychologist since 2011. She has worked with the Navy, Marine Corps, on inpatient rehabilitation units, and in outpatient clinical settings.
Assessments, therapy for ages 16+.
TBI, ADHD, geriatric mental status exams, dementia testing, stroke, and other illnesses, assessment of status in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
Depression, anxiety.
Telehealth with limited in person appointments. Testing appointments are in person.

Scott Porter, PhD, ABPP-CN
Clinical Neuropsychologist
A native of Florida, Dr. Porter currently holds professional licenses in three states, and has trained at the North Shore and in Honolulu. He has covered a Pediatric ICU and Pediatric Main hospital, in addition to experience managing a hospital and a community Neuropsychology practice. He’s also worked on ‘House, M.D.’ – type cases, or those with multi- or complex diagnoses. He was the Clinical Director of the Concussion Center at the Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic, before going into private practice.
Works with ages 6+ evaluating moderate to severe traumatic brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, brain infections, ADHD, LD, ASD screening, memory, surgery readiness, pilot evaluations and more.
Telehealth only, with in person testing appointments with psychometrist.
Virtual testing appointments with psychometrist possible for some concerns.

Morris Graham, PhD
Clinical Psychologist
A professor of Psychology at BYU and BYU-Hawaii for over 25 years, Dr. Graham also spent time as the Mental Health and Organizational Advisor and consultant to Governor Cayetano, State of Hawaii, and three years each as Senior Clinical Psychologist for the Hawaii First Circuit Family Court and the Hawaii Dept. of Health, Child & Adolescent Mental Health, and as Executive Director of the Bobby Benson Psychiatric Center in Kahuku.
